CRADLEY SPEEDWAY MEDIA INFORMATION
ADAM Roynon made an emotional return to Cradley Heath ahead of their National Trophy season and vowed: "We're in it to win it!"
Roynon joined up with his team mates at Cradley Heath Liberal Club to be introduced to supporters - and every rider received a standing ovation.
But the night was particularly special for Roynon who rode for the club in 2011 and 2012 and saw his time ended when he crashed out of the Grand Final decider with a badly broken leg.
He said: "It feels great to be back and I want to thank everyone for the welcome, it means a lot.
"There's obviously some unfinished business for me at this very special club and it was ironic they went on to win the league in two successive seasons after my crash."
"Now I'm back and I'll be telling the young lads in the team what it means to ride for a club like this and the very special supporters.
"I know we're only riding in the National Trophy so it's a reducedseason but we're in it to win it.
"We also want to put the smile back on people's faces because I understand they've had a couple of tough seasons and as far as I'm concerned this isn’t the end of league racing for Cradley, with the enthusiasm the fans have again I think they'll be back.
"I can't wait to get started and I'm looking forward to giving my all for the Cradley name. It's great to be here."
Heathens open their season at Coventry's adopted Leicester home on April 29 before the opening home meeting at Wolverhampton on Monday May 7.
Club bosses have also confirmed they are hoping to stage the prestigious Golden Hammerindividual in August as a family fun night.
